Review Of Lamb’s Conduit Street

By Piers Fawkes on September 2, 2008

PSFK have been big fan’s of Lamb’s Conduit Street for a while – a small other-era high-street in the heart of London that seems to have been missed by urban redevelopment. On our last visit, we were particularly keen on the fresh Folk fashion boutique store and the wonderful Persephone Bookshop. Despite their oft-published dislike of London, Monocle has a good review of the area as a first part of a series of videos on their favorite city streets. They say that what keeps Lamb’s Conduit Street apart from other shopping spots is the diversity and eccentricity of the street’s independent shop keepers and the artery’s market-town milieu.

Look out for the owner of Synphonic Records who sells very expensive vinyl music to people with expensive in-home hifi equipment (probably worth a post just by itself).
