Street Art Boot Disk

By Dan Gould on September 19, 2008

Here’s a good way to kick off Friday. There has to be thousands, if not millions of obsolete floppy disks littering the planet at the moment. Are they recyclable? What to do? There’s only so many obsolete media drink coasters you can stand.

An enterprising street artist has come up with a unique solution that creates a funny juxtaposition of the digital and real world (and perhaps a commentary on the commodification of street art). These pieces of floppy disk street art were one of the winners at the 2008 Sticker Awards. Next time your stencil project crashes, just grab one of these off a wall, and re-boot.
