The Fitbit Tracker is an amazing all-in-one monitoring device that gives you a wealth of feedback on your health and fitness levels. Slightly larger than a USB drive, the Fitbit contains an accelerometer, pedometer and an energy expenditure measurement device to measure calories burned. It can be clipped anywhere on the body – to a sleeve, pocket, collar and will still gather data. The tiny device measures a large amount of fitness metrics: intensity and duration of physical activities, calories burned, steps taken, distance traveled, how long it took you to fall asleep, how long you were asleep and more.
It’s also wireless, and will transmit data when it comes within 25-50 ft of it’s base station. A control panel on your computer allows you to enter other fitness factors, such as foods eaten, and correlates with data from the Fitbit to give you an overall accurate picture of your health.
At only $99, this handy gadget is a steal. Unfortunately you’ll have to wait till December to get your hands on it though.
