AIGA Calls on Designers to Promote Voting

AIGA Calls on Designers to Promote Voting

By Dave Pinter on October 15, 2008

Over the past several weeks, the American Institute of Graphic Arts has been collecting nonpartisan poster designs from its members that promote voting. Get Out the Vote 2008 aims to encourage the American public to participate in the electoral process. The initiative fulfills an ongoing AIGA objective of demonstrating the value of design to the public, public officials and business by providing a clear call to action for an activity that is important to everyone.

All the posters can be viewed online and each can be downloaded and printed. So far over 260 designs are posted in the gallery. The AIGA is adding new posters each week. Our three current favorites above (l to r) Kenneth Peters(AIGA Arizona), Amy Lamp (AIGA Arizona), and Zach Norman (AIGA Salt Lake City).
