A recent addition to the iTunes App Store has brought further features to the already multi-use iPhone. As Apple keeps us holding our breath on Bluetooth syncing, Air Sharing (iTunes link here) enables users to utilize our iPhone (and iPod Touch) as a document viewer. This includes all major file formats, including Microsoft Office files, PDFs, dozens of image formats and HTML files. Unfortunately this is intended as a document storer and viewer, so you can’t edit anything.
The program sets up a WebDAV server and syncs your documents over WiFi. Setup is simple on both Macs and PCs and Air Sharing was offered for free until September 22nd, but now costs $6.99.
