NOCC’s Help Me Darwin project applies Darwin’s theory of evolution to furniture design. The Paris-based design studio developed the ‘Mutant cardboard furniture kit’ for habitat emergencies.  NOCC explains:

From the cardboard in the bag you build a folding screen from which you can create a bed, then a table and then 3 stools. The carry-on bag unfolds in order to become the bed’s mattress.

The design will be on display as part of the “European Talent” at Eindhoven’s Designhuis during the Dutch Design Week 08, October 18 through November 30.
