High Tech Seat Design for the Desk Bound

By Dan Gould on October 9, 2008

Herman Miller’s new Embody chair is the heir to the throne occupied by the iconic Aeron. This futuristic looking office chair was designed by Bill Stumpf (also designer of the Aeron), and has all kinds of features and customizable settings to promote health while toiling away at the computer for hours at a time. One interesting component of the chair is the 52 flexors designed to mimic the human spine, that flex and bend to support the body. Best of all, the Embody is 96% recyclable, so when the life of the chair is up, the parts can be returned to make something else.
