At the Picnic media arts festival we attended recently in Amsterdam, Jyri Engestrom gave an interesting talk about our digital future. One of his key predictions was that we will start to have Social Peripheral Vision:
“Over the next 24 months many of the services that we use regularly in the real world will probably become socially aware. We’re going to see social relevance attached to location. Imagine a physical world where we have as much peripheral information at our disposal as a game player has in World of Warcraft….”
Inspirational thinking. For those interested in this subject, he suggested that we read Daemon by Leinad Zeraus.
