RJDJ Makes Mind Bending Music With Your Environment

By Dan Gould on October 29, 2008

RJDJ is a revolutionary way to make music and experience different ways of using and augmenting reality to create audio experiments. It’s an application for the iPhone that uses sensory input to generate and control music you’re listening to. The software’s creators like to call the music produced by the program “reactive”. Most of the sounds that users are hearing are being made in real time from input from the environment.

The program comes with several pre-loaded scenes that offer different types of audio styles from ambient to drum and bass. Some twist and loop audio in various ways and others use the accelerometer to alter beats. It’s a very cool way to literally turn your world into music. Check out the video below to get a better idea of how it works.
