Safety System Helps Parents Control Teenage Driving Habits

Safety System Helps Parents Control Teenage Driving Habits

By Dan Gould on October 7, 2008

Ford is coming out with a special smart key that will allow parents to control how kids use the family car. The system will let parents set safety limits, such as controlling how fast the car can go. Audio alerts can also be set to go off if passengers are not wearing seat belts. The key will also let parents limit how loud the car stereo can be played.

Parents are excited about the possibilities of this new system keeping their kids safer, but as can be expected – the kids aren’t too happy about this big brother technology. It wouldn’t be surprising to see this system hacked in the future.
