San Francisco’s Miniature Golf Extravaganza

By Dan Gould on October 8, 2008

An interesting public art installation has gone up in San Francisco. The Hayes Valley Historic Miniature Golf Extravaganza fuses playful interaction with a rich story of 10,000 years of Hayes Valley history. Participants can play nine holes of mini golf while learning about the cultural and physical geography of the San Francisco neighborhood. The game was created by Wowhaus, a husband and wife art and design team. Wowhaus placed the installation in a previously vacant lot, to be an example of revitalizing underused urban spaces.
