The playing of games such as Grand Theft Auto almost certainly has had an effect on the de-sensitization of teenagers, brining violent images into their living room and escalating the glamour of gang culture.

Sure, for well educated teens with parents who monitor the hours they spend video games and explain the difference between right and wrong, the boundaries between reality and fantasy dont blur.

But for those who spend hours and hours playing violent games with little or no parental input parental influence, the effects will be with us for years to come.

having a teenager in inner city London the effects are obviouss to see.</description>
