Waves to Power 1/3 of Australia?

Wave power could be set to deliver up to a third of Australia’s energy needs.  The report conducted by by engineering consultancy RPS MetOcean, states that Australia’s waves could produce almost 200,000 megawatts of energy, which equates to around four times that of its existing power-generation capacity.  The study predicts around 10% of the “near shore” wave energy could be economically harnessed via CETO’s completely submerged farm’s, meeting 35% of the continent’s current energy requirements.
