PSFK presents Good Ideas Salon London in association with The Guardian

By Piers Fawkes on December 16, 2008

So, we’re proud to announce our next conference: Good Ideas Salon London. We’ve decided to take the format we’ve been running in New York and take it to the UK and make it an all day session. The event will take place on 30th January 2009 at The Guardian’s new offices, Kings Place in London’s Kings Cross.

The aim of Good Ideas Salons is to inject positivity throughout the creative community. Brought to you in association with leading UK newspaper The Guardian, our London event will cover topics mobile, design, publishing, collaboration, experiential design, digital and, of course, London town. We’re still working on a list of speakers but if you know PSFK, you’ll know that our events are always rather well received.

We’re very aware that we’re trying to hold an event in just 6 weeks time with both the Christmas break and the market against us. Several people have send us notes that advise us that we won’t sell tickets in such a nervous market.

To be honest, I don’t think we really want to think too much about what the challenges are. What we have is the opportunity to put on a fabulous event with a fantastic partner at a superb location. If ticket sales prove slow, then we’ll just have to convince you that it’s the only event that you’ll want to go to next year. We will pick the most inspirational speakers we’ve been tracking and put on the best show we’ve produced yet. Attending the event will be worth it in many ways.

This event will be a smaller and more intimate event than PSFK Conference 2007. If you’re not going to be in town that day or you just can’t convince the boss (even if that’s you yourself), I’d appreciate it if you’d tell your friends.
