Wine Box turned Lamp, the Gift that Keeps on Giving

Wine Box turned Lamp, the Gift that Keeps on Giving

By Scott Lachut on December 8, 2008

Spanish Design Company Ciclus creates consumer wares that follow the basic principles of ecodesign: reduce, reuse, recycle.  When recently tasked by Group Hera to create a memorable holiday gift that exemplified the theme of converting waste into resources, the Wine Box turned Lamp was the enlightening end result. The product shows off the underlying sustainable thinking that influenced its elegant design, including a compact fluorescent light bulb and even going so far as to print the assembly instructions on the existing packaging to cut down on paper waste.  Considered together, this thoughtful combination provides all the makings for a quiet evening at home.
