Nick Denton and his Gawker Media blog network have sold one of their blogs to the group who produce Consumer Reports. The Consumers Union has bought Consumerists – a site that championed shoppers’ rights and highlighted corporate wrongdoing. Although it gained a large audience under Gawker stewardship, it failed to fit in with the networks plans (and maybe their revenue model) and therefore offered it up for sale back in November 08.
