Chinese big Internet "population" is one thing, but e-commerce is another. The Chinese use the Internet mainly for news, messaging, games, etc. The US is still number one in e-commerce, which is what most investors are interested in. See the 2005 study/Publications

Adrian, I think the same also applies to India, Russia and Brazil, those numbers are just a small percentage of the whole population that could (and eventually will) become Internet users

That is only a SMALL percentage of China, wait until more people come online in China. I bet one day all of the people who have Internet access in China will equal all of the people in the rest of the world who have Internet access.
