Handcrafted Vespa

By Scott Lachut on January 20, 2009

The folks at Make pointed us to this exquisitely handcrafted wooden Vespa created by Portuguese craftsman Carlos Alberto. He has taken what was already a beautiful design and elevated it to the status of an art object, while at the same time preserving all of its functionality.  Though remakes often fall short of the originals they seek to duplicate, this is one attempt that is truly worthy of a sequel all its own.  The full gallery detailing the building process can be viewed here
