iPhone Bowling Addict in China

While the iPhone is not legitimately sold in China yet, there are an estimated 1.5 to 2 million illegally cracked iPhones already in use in the Middle Kingdom.  Along with all those iPhones, games and apps made for the device have also captured the attention of iPhone users throughout the country.

A recent viral video highlighted by Youku Buzz shows the popularity of the iPhone bowling game.  The video, probably a spoof, features a subway rider playing the bowling game while on the Beijing subway before losing his prized device out the door.  If the iPhone finally enters China legally, as rumors have been stirring for months, the iPhone addict in this video should be signed up for their advertising campaign.

  1. I don’t think it is a spoof. I spent 12 years in China and the reaction of the bystanders was very realistic.

  2. The reaction of the bystanders seems realistic, but I was more going off the reaction of the bowler. Also, the general sentiment in the comments of the video in Chinese seem to agree it’s fake.
