Matt Hardisty, Founding Partner and Creative Director of AnalogFolk, will be moderating our “London: Better Again” panel at the Good Ideas Salon London. In this discussion, Lindsey Clarke of The Londonist, Justin Quirk of FHM, Taryn Ross of Urban Junkies and Paul Andrew Williams of Steel Mill Pictures will touch upon what aspects of London are exciting to them right now.
First, who are you and what do you do?
I’m the Founding Partner and Creative Director of AnalogFolk; one of adland’s ‘new model’ start-ups of 2008. AnalogFolk combines both analog and digital to create new and enhanced experiences so that its clients engage with their customers in a more meaningful and emotional way. AnalogFolk quickly received industry praise and NMA named the agency its ‘One to Watch’; with work for Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy brands and ASICS already underway.
Previous works have included global sustainability platforms for Heineken and Coca-Cola, European music platforms for Reebok and Nokia and domestic activation platforms for Campbell’s and Coca-Cola’s Far-Coast. Having lived and worked in New York, Tokyo and Amsterdam as Naked’s Global Creative Director, I now reside in East London.
You’ll be sharing your ideas on our “Snapshot London Panel,” could you sum up what themes and ideas you hope to touch upon during the discussion?
London was Fast Company’s Global City of the Year in 2008, yet despite its expense, transportation issues and gun crime - London is still one of the great places for creatives to live and work in the world. In fact, every one in eight works in a creative industry. The panel will explore what makes London tick; its multicultural environs and creative heritage - and discuss whether the city’s creative renaissance can continue and what London can learn from other cities around the world.
