Taryn Ross, Co-Founder of Urban Junkies, will be joining our Good Ideas from London panel at the PSFK Good Ideas Salon London. Along with Matt Brown of Londonist, Justin Quirk of FHM, Paul Andrew Williams of Steel Mill Pictures, and moderator Matt Hardisty of AnalogFolk, the panel will touch upon what aspects of London are exciting them right now.

First, who are you and what do you do?

My name is Taryn Ross, and I am a co-founder of Urban Junkies.  Urban Junkies is a free daily e-newsletter about things going on in London—launches, trends, events, anything we think you need to know about—that currently goes out to 42,000 Londoners. If you want to be up
to speed on London life, you need to be getting us!

You’ll be sharing your ideas on our Good Ideas From London panel. In one paragraph, can you explain what themes and ideas you hope to touch upon during the discussion?

I’m always interested in what’s new and exciting in London, and although the year’s just kicked off there seems to be plenty in the pipeline (which is hardly surprising: this is London after all). A key theme for the upcoming year will definitely be a change in the nightlife sector on both ends of the spectrum: cheap and creative, and luxe and expensive. Other ideas to touch on also include the rise of the one-stop entertainment shop, restaurant pop-ups, and oddly, given the timing, members’ bar offerings.
