
I skimmed through Nic Negroponte’s 1996 classic Being Digital the other day. The book predicted a lot of what was going to happen in the way we were going to use technology. If you swap out some of the technology, it’s amazing how it still seems relevant today. We like this extract:
[AOL] is a socializing medium… Computing is not about computing anymore. It’s about living.
1996, I tell you! Well worth a reread.
