Brit Insurance Designs of the Year 2009

By Dave Pinter on February 16, 2009

Opening last week at the Design Museum in London was their annual review of the most innovative, interesting and forward-looking new work in design of all kinds, from around the world. The exhibition, called the ‘Brit Insurance Designs of the Year’, presents around 100 projects divided into seven categories – architecture, fashion, furniture, graphics, interactive, product and transport.

We’re happy to see the Westminster School (which we covered previously) included in the architecture category. This batch of projects was selected by a group of internationally respected design experts, curators, critics, practitioners, and enthusiasts. Awards will be announced next week. The museum has created a special site allowing anyone to cast a vote for each of their category favorites. The winners of the online poll will be announced at the closing event on March 18th.

If you can’t make it to London to see the show, everydaylife.style has some photos of the show on flickr.
