Low cost hotel chain easyHotel has redesigned their rooms to better accommodate budget travellers and to eliminate the overly orange, prison-cell-looking rooms. Softening and improving the functionality of the spartan rooms are a new subtle color scheme, more storage and flexible lighting options. The redesign was created by London architects ZMMA. It’s a simple, but drastic improvement which illustrates how little design changes can go a long way. Check out the before and after photos below.

Wouldn’t have been hard to make them look less cheap – they were truly awful previously – they look like they’d been designed by Stelios himself

Imagine, waking up looking out the window all stretchy, hair ruffled, yawning …. turn around and AAAARRRRGH…. where am I? WTF is that???? New look is way more enticing for a creative, refreshing night’s sleep.. in a closet.
