Is A Greeener Gadget A Hacked Gadget?

By Piers Fawkes on February 27, 2009

Today, the Greener Gadgets conference takes place in New York. Originally founded by fabulous Marc Alt and Jill Fehrenbacher in response to the CES show, the CES bought the event and is running it this year. We’ve sent a writer to cover the event but I asked him to consider this – what is greener? A new gadget that has lower enegry consumption or is made from conscious materials, or an existing gadget that has been hacked to extend its usefulness and therefore its lifespan.

I have a feeling that Greener Gadgets is going to be a lean towards the consumption of the new – but let’s see what David Friedlander comes back with, eh?
