Questions Around Green Job Creation
The White House blog has a post discussing the issues of creating green jobs. It says that we need to definer what green jobs are, where they are and how people get one. There’s an interesting list of questions that need to be answered:
–How can we change Washington to make green jobs a political reality?
–How can we ensure access to green jobs to everyone?
–How do we connect people who need jobs to companies that need people?
–How can the federal government help bring green jobs to the middle class?
–What’s the role of the labor movement in creating green jobs and training workers for them?
–How do you create green jobs in a city?
–How can public-private partnerships help train people for green jobs?
–What’s the role for business?
These topics will be discussed at a meeting with Vice President Biden and a ‘Middle Class Task Force’ on Friday, Feb. 27, at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
