This past weekend was the annual City of Lakes Loppet in Minneapolis, where several contenders opted to forego the traditional cross-country skiing for a new take on the old sport – skijoring. Skijoring is a relatively new and rapidly growing type of skiing that combines cross country with dog sledding.The sport attracted new fans to the old event, as well as a new breed of competitors.
