A designer in Holland has revamped the interior of Amsterdam ad agency Nothing with interlocking cardboard. The office redesign by Joost van Bleiswijk used 500 square meters of reinforced cardboard and did not to use any glue or screw to interconnect the 1500 separate pieces.

Looks incredible. Worth noting that solebox Berlin (one of Europe’s/the World’s best sneaker stores) had their entire shop fitted out with reinforced cardboard in this way 8 or 9 years ago. They’ve since re-done their store with artwork/architecture from DELTA which is equally amazing.

Greenwashing. Ad agencies are good at that–even for themselves.

Is it paintable or does it only come in brown? Reminds me of the cardboard cubicle that someone send in an e-mail a while back in response to money-saving ideas (humor). Must have some sort of coating for spills or, like Jeffrey said above, first spiller is history! How about the heat from recessed lighting?
