We’re looking forward to having Colin Nagy, PSFK contributor and Director at Attention moderate our Building Healthy Brands With Heart panel at PSFK Conference New York on April 2. He will lead a panel featuring Richard Fine (Help Remedies) and Sean Khozin & Jay Parkinson (Hello Health) that will discuss the improvement of communication in the healthcare industry, and between brands and users in general, through the incorporation of technology and social media.

First, who are you and what do you do?

I’m Colin Nagy and I’m a Partner at Attention.

In my spare time, I’m a contributing editor at Flavorpill, a regular contributor to PSFK, and also write for various music, art, and cultural publications around the world.

You’ll be moderating our “Building Healthy Brands With Heart” panel. In one paragraph, can you explain what themes and ideas you hope to touch upon during the discussion?

Over the past several years, we’ve seen the power of the grassroots in politics and media.

In terms of healthcare, I’m particularly interested to see if these types of innovative companies can disrupt traditional models. There are obviously some very powerful incumbents, and many are quite resistant to change.

Will innovation in healthcare come from big policy shifts from the top-down, or through bottom-up innovation? What is required to make this happen?
