The problem is people think eBooks are a replacement for books, it's the name that's confusing, they shouldn't be use the term 'book' to describe this device, it's a slate device with eInk screen but it's the missing link between a mobile device and a laptop. People hear 'book' and they think linear when this is a device which can be so much more.

It's highly portable and super energy efficient (with the cholesteric display) so it's the same segment manufacturers are trying to bridge with NetBooks. Of course you can read books on it, but that's not it's only purpose. As soon as people see it as this convergent device (like the mobile phone has become) such as a replacement for your paper notepad, novels and newspapers, combined with new business models it all starts to make sense.
