The 50 States Project: The U.S. Through Pictures

By Scott Lachut on March 5, 2009

The 50 States Project hopes to capture the essence of America through snapshots of its people and places by inviting 50 photographers to represent their home states in a series of six photography assignments. The images from the first task, People, have been posted on the site with updates from successive assignments appearing in regular intervals throughout the year.
