Delicious Storage System Elevates the Humble Hot Dog Cart

By Dave Pinter on April 27, 2009

The mark of real design talent can often be found in individuals who can transform the common into something special. Mathieu Lehanneur saw potential in the quilted stainless steel that covers hot dog carts around New York City. He created a sleek storage system with four different sized units that are wrapped with the same steel. The modules are finished in natural metal or painted and can be stacked in different configurations. Judging from the abuse that hot dog carts must endure, these storage units will probably last a long time and inherit a nice patina of wear.
