The Economist’s Intelligence Unit have just released their livability rating for over 140 cities areound thr world. The rating quantifies the challenges that face a city-dweller’s lifestyle in those cities and the newspaper’s review found that Australian and Canadian cities tended to come out top.

  3. so glad i grew up in toronto. it’s so clean, safe, and super modern. people don’t flee the downtown core at night. great neighborhoods. and probably one of the most multi-cultural cities in the world. you can get a “wrong number”, in a different language every day!

    That’s your personal taste. Probably because where you come from is nowhere near top of the list.

    They make the list based on a lot of criteria that actually mean something. I’d rather be nice and warm and toasty than in some sweaty armpit in the South of the US etc.
