Shops should be on high streets that you have to WALK to, that are at the heart of COMMUNITIES. Such old fashioned should really make a comeback. The Malls can rot.

In an example of a great way to repurpose these spaces, check out ArtSpace at Crestwood court (http://crestwoodcourt.com/go/Poolb.cfm?MallID=902&FPURLID=2129965254)…they‘ve turned the entire mall into an art walk, with artists leasing the spaces as both working studios and galleries.

I can’t believe this is true!! Where am I going to shop if the mall by me shuts down. I didn’t think the economy would get this bad, but I guess i was wrong. =(
