Creative Collaboration: Looking for Work Exhibition
A trio of Los Angeles architects and designers are getting together to present an exhibition of work they’ve done during the economic slowdown. Opening this weekend, ‘Looking for Work’ is a show featuring not grand new building designs but smaller scale furniture and accessories. La’s Fifth Floor gallery is hosting the event to show how architects are adapting to work on smaller objects because of the low volume of new construction projects.

Earl Parson will exhibit chairs and functional objects created from reclaimed remnants of large industrial steel beams.

Ali Jeevanjee’s laminated plywood furniture is simple and multifunctional.

Aimee Less’ seats take inspiration from construction details in the fashion world.
