(capsule) show Paris

To be filed under “events we wish we could have gone to” last month  (capsule), a yearly international men’s fashion and lifestyle trade event which brings together high-end contemporary brands, directional independent designers, and super premium street wear labels, held the third run of it’s Paris event late last month. (capsule),  which is one of the best places to help industry insiders (as well as retailers) scout who will be the biggest indie names the coming year, has been a consistent favorite of psfk.com in seasons past, and we were excited to see such great brands participating. Hip just-off-the-radar labels like F-troupe, April 77, and YMC will all be in attendance, in addition to Scandinavian favorites Wood Wood and Fifth Avenue Shoe Repair- which in the last year and a half have come to be picked up by higher end retailers like Barneys. The event, which was held at 17th Century Hotel Particulier at 10-12 Rue Du Parc Royal in the Marais, also hosted The New Order Gallery- an art exhibition curated by the editors of The New Order – a recently launched quarterly fashion and art magazine that covers fashion, art and culture.  The New Order’s Issue 02 was unveiled at (capsule) Paris via a photography exhibit showcasing the works of featured artists; such as Kaws, Martha Cooper, Ron English and Takashi Murakami along with exclusive content from some of menswear’s biggest names, including W)Taps and Rick Owens.

(capsule) is organized by New York based Fashion consultancy BPMW and takes place in New York, Paris, and Las Vegas twice a year. for more information you can visit the (capsule) website.
