For quite some time now, global warming has inspired designers to make conscious choices and use sustainable materials. It’s interesting then, to see this frozen yogurt shack in Jakarta that is inspired by melting ice floes. As the world heats up, the Indonesian architects of Budi Padono probably think you should cool down with some icy treats, while pondering the state of the earth.
The Blu Apple Frozen Yogurt Café is schedule to open next month.

it looks exactly like the Pinkberry down the street in Playa del Rey, CA, down to the tables and chairs!

It is not such a surprise seeing this yogurt cafe in Jakarta since there are a kazillion similar cafes offering frozen yoghurt (with no fat and calories premise) in a hip and trendy district of Jakarta.
Thanks to Sour Sally, a local brand, who introduced this first about a year ago. I guess Sour Sally is inspired by Red Mango, who finally just opened its booth in Jakarta recently.
And btw, the architect name is Budi Pradono, one of the prominent Indonesian architect ;)
