Graduating as a graphic designer from the London College of Art, Lottie Crumbleholme has designed a campaign encouraging sustainable behavior. Aimed at people who in one way or another are already doing their bit, the goal is to turn it into political action on a larger scale. By sending sleek and simple pre-written letters to office holders your are combining your protest with a bit of sophisticated design and DIY.
The Secretary of State for Energy & Climate Change may get a letter, a worn out plastic bag or a framed photo of yourself demonstrating. Old light bulbs, recepits from eco-purchases, or post cards from destinations you’ve visited by train, can all be forwarded to your member of Parliament, finishing off with a dinner invitation to discuss food production.
Doing Your Bit is has several easy suggestions applicable to any level of environmentalism, showing that you care, but realize that your own action can only amount to so much without the great help of policy makers.
