Le Labo for ACE Hotel NYC

Le Labo for ACE Hotel NYC

By Laura Feinstein on August 12, 2009

I’ve always been amazed at the transformative power of a good candle — a sentiment which the ACE Hotel NYC must also share,  as they’ve chosen aromatic artists Le Labo to design a set of soy-based candles to be distributed throughout the hotel, and available for purchase at the reception area. The candles, which are hand poured and made in the USA (like all Le Labo goods),  have a “particular woody accord that is absolutely timeless and fits so well with the atmosphere (of ACE Hotel).”

In addition to a pleasant aroma, the candles also come in a woodsy tin, reminiscent of summer camping trips and adventure.

The Le Labo x ACE Hotel collaboration comes hot on the tail of another recent project for the Palm Springs location, where they teamed up with shoe designers General Surplus and art periodical Arkitip for a limited-edition pool friendly pair of kicks. If you happen to be in New York, swing by the hotel for whiff of innovation.
