Vizeum Norway are pitching for the IKEA account, and they’ve decided to use crowdsourcing to answer the brief, which requires coming up with an idea for a social media platform for the iconic brand. To this end, they’ve started the Open Inspiration blog, where anyone who’d like to offer ideas for this rather ambitious project can do so (ambitious because we’re talking about Ikea, where a simple font change recently caused fans to go up in arms!). How successful they will be remains to be seen – participation seems rather limited at the moment.

  1. Search engines generate nearly 90% of all Internet traffic and are responsible for 55% of all E-commerce transactions. Today, it is essential for all online businesses to make SEO an integral part of their online business strategy. http://www.redalkemi.com/

  2. hilarious – the agency clearly is clueless, but by presenting it as a crowdsourcing initiative they are trying to look ahead of the game. Looks like IKEA picked the wrong agency to start with.
