Linos Minimalist Portable Record Player
Despite the fact that in 2009 most music is enjoyed on mp3 players or digital devices of some kind, vinyl records have not yet followed the same path to obsolescence as the cassette or 8-track tape have. This is somewhat strange, considering the fact that tape-based mediums always offered the advantage of portable devices (boomboxes, car stereos, etc) to play them on. On the other hand, record players were usually on the large and clunky side, and never traveled as well as the vinyl platters that played on them.
However, the Linos concept (by designer Charlie Pyott) provides a simple, transportable, and computer accessible solution to the record player.
Outfitted with a USB and A/V port, the only things required for a record listening session are some of your favorite LPs and a laptop.
