At a press event earlier this week that PSFK attended, the New York-based French chef Eric Ripert talked about how we need to reconsider our relationship with our food. He told an audience that included Martha Stewart and Tom Colicchio that the food industry had sabotaged what we eat and that we need to understand how our diets impact both ourselves and the planet. In his new TV show Avec Eric, the chef takes trips to understand the source of good food – and even goes as far as shooting a wild boar and then cooking and eating it.
