The Cat Piano is the latest animated short film from Australian animation studio The People’s Republic of Animation. Directed by Eddie White and Ari Gibson, the short tells the story of a lonely beat poet:
“who falls for a beautiful siren, in a city of singing cats. When a mysterious dark figure emerges, kidnapping the town’s singers for his twisted musical plans, the poet must save his muse and put an end to the nefarious tune that threatens to destroy the city.”
Narrated by iconic Australian musician, author, director and poet Nick Cave; The Cat Piano has already taken out a string of awards including the Best Animated Short category in both the Sydney Film Festival and Melbourne International Film Festival.
