Australian airline V is running a campaign which takes the words ‘a blow-by-blow account of your life’ to another level. They have selected three participants – Jade, Rob and Bobby – from a number of entries and are flying them from Los Angeles to Sydney to capture each minute of their 72 hour trip via Twitter, in front of a camera crew. If they successfully tweet every minute of the trip (all 4320 of them), they will each win a round-the-world ticket. They were selected from the number of people who tweeted why they deserved to win the chance to do this at the Twitter account http://twitter.com/4320syd.
Jade, Rob and Bobby’s tweets are fed through the landing page at 4320SYD on a Tweetwall which acts as a visual canvas of their journey. Their individual Twitter accounts are at @4320SYD_Jade, @4320SYD_Rob and @4320SYD_Bobby. Their Australian odyssey began at 4pm Wed 09 Sep (PDT) / 9am Thu 10 Sep (Sydney local time), so their time in the sun is already being keenly followed on the site.
4320SYD is a follow-up to 4320LA which did the reverse by sending 3 people from Sydney to LA.

It seems like the airline industry in particular is keen on social media. This is probably because overall, the industry is struggling. I think this will work out for Australian Airline V.
