U.S. Post Office Virtual Box Simulator

By Dan Gould on September 22, 2009

The US Post Office recently launched an augmented reality application named the ‘Virtual Box Simulator’ that ensures that you won’t have to worry about whether or not your shipping items will fit into standard USPS boxes.

As with many AR applications, it works by reading a special icon which triggers a virtual box to appear on screen. The different types of Postal Service boxes can then be “tried on” to see which one best suits your shipment.
