Elio Caccavale: Quirky Tech Toys for Pets (and Owners)

By Dan Gould on October 1, 2009

Designer Elio Caccavale explores advanced technologies and their possible effects on the future. Two recent projects he’s worked on are quirky toys that assist in human – pet relations.

Toy communicator is a toy for pets, with an embedded microphone and a radio receiver which allows the pet owner to listen to the animal play. Smoke eater is a hand-held tool allowing the user to smoke cigarettes in his/her home without creating second-hand smoke that would damage the health of the pet.
