Melissa Borrell 2D3D Designs Are Wearable Sculpture

During a recent Saturday Night Live performance Lady Gaga got more buzz for the metallic interactive hoop dress she wore than for her actual performance. If this is any sign of a new trend, than this is certainly good news for Texas-based jewelry designer Melissa Borrell- whose 2D3D line encourages the melding of fashion and industrial design. Many of the pieces come as flat discs of metal, which then open up into three dimensional shapes.Her designs are available at supermarkethq.com and she’ll also be making local appearances at various locations around the US next month.
