Moobella’s Ice Cream On Demand Machine

By Dan Gould on October 5, 2009

North Eastern University and Worcester Polytechnic Institute recently got to test out an intriguing new ice cream new vending machine. The gadget is fully automated – users pick their ice cream flavors and toppings, and in about 45 seconds, a sundae is ready. Though ice cream on demand may seem like a dream come true, it’s reported that the ingredients are shelf-stable and don’t require refrigeration. Health concerns aside, the machines are technologically impressive, and could offer retailers savings on refrigeration, storage, and delivery costs.
