Repair and Repurpose- The Fixers Collective

If you have an item or two laying around the house that needs to be repaired, but not quite sure where to go to get it fixed, you may want to try The Fixers.

They’re a Brooklyn based group that gets together once a week to repair and repurpose all kinds of broken things – shoes, radios, lamps, clocks – anything is game. Starting as a collaborative repair group that grew out of the Proteus Gowanus gallery’s show “Mend”, The Fixers offer a unique service that transforms the often frustrating task of getting something fixed into something fun.

The next meeting will take place this Thursday from 6-9.
