Encouraging passerbys to question their normal routine, artist Chis O’Shea’s Hand from Above project slips a bit of fun into the everyday.

A large electronic billboard captures real-time video footage of passing crowds who enter into a virtual interaction with the hand of a giant deity which pokes, tickles and picks up the onscreen image of pedestrians in the crowd. O’Shea’s piece seems to truly delight and surprise the audience, pulling them outside of the everyday and making them all part of something for a moment.
